Cepel: national technology overcoming electric energy challenges

A celebratory publication of the 35 years of the Centro de Pesquisas de Energia Elétrica – Cepel (Electric Energy Research Centre), an institution created in 1974, through an initiative of the Ministry of Mines and Energy and Eletrobras, responsible for innovative products and specialized services essential to the sector development. The book talks about Cepel’s research work, essays on equipment and materials, and development of Technologies of optimization, monitoring, diagnosis and assessment of transmission lines. The text, which counts on testimonials from several personalities from the sector, also highlights the computer programs developed by the Centre that support the operation, supervision and control of the Brazilian electric system.
