Video produced by Memória da Eletricidade to celebrate the centennial of the Hydro Power Plant Marmelos Zero. A 10-minute documentary that starts with the creation of the Companhia Mineira de Eletricidade – CME, by the industrialist Bernardo Mascarenhas, in the city of Juiz de Fora in 1888, until the opening of the first largest hydro power plant in Brazil – Marmelos Zero. Located at the Marmelos waterfall, in Paraibuna River, the plant used to generate power to Bernardo Mascarenhas’ fabric plant and to the city’s public lighting through two generating groups of 125 kW each.
